When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I was picturing beautiful coral reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. Descending was surreal. At first, it's a shadow in the blue, then suddenly the structure came into view. It is massive. It's now a thriving artificial reef, draped in soft corals and swarming with fish. I spotted giant groupers hiding from inside the cargo hold, and schools of fusiliers hiding in the superstructure. The feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure was hard to describe—eerie, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It's a time capsule on the seabed.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and seeking an adventure beyond the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **dive** enough. It was the absolute highlight of my diving trip.
